What is the last thing you read that you enjoyed and why?
The last thing I read was ‘The battle of Jericho’ by Sharon Draper. The book was about this boy who wanted his last years of high school to be unforgettable and different from his previous years. So he decided to pledge for the warrior of distinction it was a group of the most popular boys who did everything together for the school and other events outside of school. I enjoyed this book because the things that happened it this book were happening in society today, such as hazing. I like reading things that are capable of happening in real life. Things that I can relate to. If it’s not or I never really experienced it before its kind of hard for me to connect with the characters but reading books such as this one allowed me to connect with the characters on a personal level.
“What Kind of Reader Are You?”
I was classified as a fiction reader. This is a reader that likes to escape while reading. Someone who enjoys stories that tells about something other than their normal life. As long as it's not real, it's up their alley. I agree to disagree. I would like to think of myself more of a drama reader. I enjoy dramatic books or more realistic books. Things that are liekly to happen in the real world. Things that relate to me and my life style or the lifestyles around me. I like to be serious when I read. Sitting on the edge of my seat or shedding a tear or two for my favorite characters is not out of the question. I think I am both or in between the two of a fiction and drama reader. However, more of a drama reader I would think.
